Most chat apps make both people sign up before a single message. Koligly Open Line works the other way: one person shares a link, the other opens it in any browser and starts typing. No download, no account, no phone number exchanged.
What "chat without an app" means here
It runs in the browser
Any phone, tablet or computer with a web browser can open an Open Line link. There is nothing to download from an app store.
No account to create
The visitor types a name and a message and is chatting. There is no sign-up form, no password, no verification step in the way.
No phone number shared
Neither side ever sees the other's number. The visitor sees a name and a photo; the member sees the name the visitor typed.
A real, live conversation
Replies arrive instantly on the visitor's page, and the member answers from their normal chat list — with push alerts turned on.
How a conversation starts
A member shares their link — koligly.com/line/theirname — or the QR code that comes with it. It can live in a bio, an email signature, a shop window or a business card.
The visitor opens it and writes. The page shows the member's name, photo and greeting, plus a message box. One tap sends the first message.
It becomes a normal chat. The member replies from their Koligly chat list. The visitor can keep the page open, or tap "Keep this chat" to turn it into a free account with the history intact.
The honest small print
- Phone numbers are never shown on either side of the conversation.
- Messages are encrypted in transit and stored encrypted. They are not end-to-end encrypted, because a visitor with no account has no device key yet — the chat says so plainly.
- To keep spam out, each visitor can start only a limited number of new chats per hour, and members can pause their link at any moment.
